Stay Encouraged!

Its so important as stay at home moms to stay encouraged, and to encourage one another, here are a few little tips we came up with to help us keep our focus on Jesus and get through each day as we train up our children in the way of the Lord!

  • Be in the Word!  It is living and active and helpful for getting our focus on what is good, noble, excellent and worthy of praise, which gives us a fresh new perspective!

  • John 10:10 - "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full."

Often we struggle with knowing if something is conviction from the Lord, or condemnation from the enemy. How do we tell?

"Am I doing enough with my child?" - Ask a godly friend, they will tell you the truth, do not listen to the lies of the enemy this is a HUGE condemnation from him.

"My children are behind" - Are they really behind, or are they just different children, with different needs, and different callings from the Lord?

1 Corinthians 12:4-11

"There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.

Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines."

"I'm overwhelmed!" - Ask yourself if everything you are doing is from the Lord sister?

Matthew 11:28 - "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 6:33 - "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

"I'm discouraged!" - Are you spending time in the Word? Discouragement and condemnation comes only from the enemy.

Ephesians 6:10-18

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;  praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints

John 15:5

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."

  • Encouraging verses:

Isaiah 40:11 - "He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young."

Isaiah 40:28 - "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God,  the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom."

Phil 4:4-6 - "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!" - He hears us and remembers us; hears our cries and delivers us!

Psalm 20 – the Lord hears us!

John 14:27 –  "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." Enjoy your children, this will give you peace!

Phil 4:13 –"I can do everything through him who gives me strength" - Remember, if He calls us, He’ll equip us!

Nehemiah 8:10 - "Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength."
